Businesses

A commercially viable urban village needs a diverse mix of businesses to provide for the needs of residents and to draw people into the neighborhood. In the South Wedge neighborhood we have a mix of services, retail, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The businesses in the neighborhood are almost all small micro businesses. A "main street" filled with businesses can create a "happening place" where people want to be and contributes to building a community. A strong commercial base contributes to a strong residential base.

The South Wedge Planning Committee works closely with the two business associations in the South Wedge. They are:
BASWA (Business Association of the Southwedge Area)
South Clinton Avenue Merchants Association
