Community
SWPC works to build a strong community where residents feel connected with each and engaged in making the South Wedge a better place. SWPC engages in a number of activities to build community, they include the WEDGE newspaper which keeps neighbors informed, the South Wedge Farmers Market to connect producers with consumers and provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables. The South Wedge Victory Gardens provide the opportunity for neighbors to grow their own fresh and vegetables. Wedgestock is a festival to celebrate the South Wedge and fulfill the organizations need for an annual meeting.
SWPC coordinates volunteers on projects to improve the neighborhood. On a street by street basis SWPC seeks to organize neighbors to address issues and build the sense of community on a grassroots level. You can also check out our online community at southwedge.org
