Cypress Linden Bike Boulevard Updates
A preliminary design has been released for the Cypress/Linden Bike Boulevard. The city defines a bike boulevard as "a local street optimized for bicycle and pedestrian travel. They are quiet, low-speed streets designed to make walking and biking safer and more comfortable. These streets connect to bike lanes, cycle tracks, trails, and other bicycle infrastructure to allow cyclists to traverse the city safely."
According to the city’s current timeline, in early winter the design will be finalized, with construction set to begin in Spring of 2028. You can see the design as well as an explanation of the planned traffic calming elements below.
The City of Rochester is still accepting feedback regarding speeding, unsafe crossings, visibility, parking/access, and any other street safety issues you observe. You can use the survey to tag the map with the location you’d like to give feedback on, including on this design.
