Groups

The South Wedge is home to two business associations: the Business Association of the South Wedge Area (BASWA) and the South Clinton Merchants Association.

For neighbors living on Hickory Street, the Hickory Nuts Block Club is open to you for membership. Likewise, those living on Linden Street can join the Linden Street Block Club.

Parks

The South Wedge has multiple green spaces and outdoor recreation areas easily accessible to all corners of the wedge. Only a short distance from Highland Park, the Wedge itself is home to Marie Daley Park at its center. In the South Avenue business corridor, neighbors can enjoy a picnic in Star Alley. Skateboarders can enjoy access to the Roc City Skate Park, and both hikers and bikers will find access to the Genesee Riverway Trail.

Health

The South Wedge is home to an urgent care, outpatient clinics, and private clinicians for residents of all income levels. Residents are also in close proximity to Highland Hospital.

Creativity

The South Wedge is home to many small gallery spaces nested inside of our local businesses. We are also home to both craft and books stores and multiple event spaces for dancing.

Whether you want to crochet with friends at Little Button, Lindy Hop at The Rose Room, or check out local artwork while grabbing your morning coffee, the South Wedge has the creative space for you!
