Initiatives

SWPC supports neighborhood block groups, local associations, and volunteer groups to promote engagement and improve our community. Our Board of Directors and the Community Engagement Committee monitor and address neighborhood concerns and quality of life issues.

We offer programming to homeowners and renters alike to navigate housing issues within the neighborhood as well as to improve the health and safety of their homes. 

Thinking of starting a business or need advice for your company? SWPC offers business workshops to help local business owners gain new strategies and networking opportunities with other South Wedge business owners.

SWPC supports wellness related activities in the neighborhood. Walking based activities like The South Wedge Steps and The Wedge Waddle promote healthy individuals and a healthy neighborhood.

The South Wedge, Linden-South, and Mount Hope historic districts are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The National Register is an inventory of cultural and historic resources that have regional, or national significance, and the program is overseen by the National Park Service. SWPC is open to receive donations and act as a resource library for other organization serving populations in-need. Sock and canned food donations can be dropped off at the office during business hours.
