Aging in Place
Aging in place has become a focus of our organization, beginning with the Collaborative Accessibility Exchange, a pilot program to help seniors age in place and allow younger families to access larger homes through a housing swap program. This pilot program is ongoing and open to feedback from residents in the neighborhood. If you own a home in the 14620 zip code, please take our Aging In Place Survey. We want to hear from all homeowners about their needs and to see the viability of the pilot.
Based on our initial findings, we've begun developing programming specifically for seniors and older adults who are looking for connection and resources to help them live safely and comfortably in their homes. Our goal is to assist in developing innovative, resident-driven solutions to the housing and wellness challenges our senior residents face. Programs, socials, and worksops will appear at the bottom of this page.
