Phase 3 Vision Zero & Vacuum Oil BOA Remediation Meetings
Two upcoming meetings are to be held by the city that affect bicycle and pedestrian traffic in the neighborhood.
The first public information meeting will be held regarding the Bicycle Boulevards Phase III and Priority Pedestrian Intersection Improvements Project. If you took part in the survey, this meeting will provide updates on the city’s progress regarding traffic calming. There will also be a presentation of preliminary designs for 15 miles of safety improvements on residential streets. It is scheduled for August 13th from 5:00pm-6:30pm in the Gleason Auditorium at the Central Library, 115 South Avenue.
Live near or frequently use the Genesee River Trail? An update meeting will be held regarding the Vaccum Oil BOA remediation project and the Restore the Shore (West River Wall Segment 2) project. The city engineer’s office will explain what to expect during the remediation and present design drawings of the future park. The meeting will be on August 19th from 5:30pm-6:30pm, at Phillis Wheatley Library, 33 Dr. Samuel McCree Way. Parts of the South Wedge trail will be used as a detour during this project.
